20 Years in the Making

Scroll through two decades of milestones, expansions, and breakthroughs.

2006 | The Beginning

  • Our journey began with the aggregation of the legacy subsidiary firms of Spring Bank to establish Spring Capital.
  • As a wholly owned subsidiary of Spring Bank, Spring Capital laid the foundation for what would evolve into the diversified pan-African investment group known today as PAC Holdings.

2007

2007 | Building Trust

  • SEC approval is secured for the Registrar’s business. A quiet but consequential milestone, the first regulated mandate and proof that the platform could be trusted with what matters to others.

2008 | A New Direction

  • In 2008, we embarked on a new chapter as new investors acquired a 49% stake in Spring Capital from Spring Bank, refocusing the business as an investment bank.
  • This strategic shift also marked the launch of the Financial Services Division that shaped our organization’s future growth.

2009 | Expanding Horizons

  • The IT & Media Division through investments in SWAP Technologies was established.
  • We strengthened our continental footprint through strategic investments in Class B shares of Afreximbank and other multilateral financial institutions.
  • Spring Bank divested a further 30% of its stake, reducing its holding to 21% and marking another significant step in our evolution.

2010 | A Name That Matched the Dream

  • Spring Capital was rebranded as PanAfrican Capital, reflecting our institution’s pan-African vision and strategic ambition to expand our impact across the continent.

2011 | Building for Tomorrow

  • The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Nigeria gave us the approval to operate our Asset Management business which strengthened our institution’s financial services offering.
  • We expanded into real estate with the launch of a multi-use residential estate in Lagos. This marked the beginning of the Real Estate & Infrastructure Division.

2012 | Creating Experiences

  • Our Hospitality & Tourism Division was established through a strategic investment in a boutique hotel in Lagos, marking our organization’s entry into the business of curated hospitality experiences.

2013 | Crossing Borders

  • We established ourselves as an Investment Bank in Kenya, further strengthening our pan-African mandate.
  • We gained admission to the NASD platform in Nigeria as an Investment Bank, advancing our continental strategy from intention to institution.

2014 | Growing New Possibilities

  • Our organization established its Agric & FMCG Division through a strategic investment in a mango plantation in Côte d’Ivoire, marking our first investment in the continent’s agricultural value chain.
  • In the same year, we were admitted to the FMDQ platform as an Investment Bank in Nigeria, strengthening our presence in the financial markets.

2015 | Feeding Growth

  • Further equity investments were made in the Agric & FMCG Division through a cassava processing establishment.
  • We obtained approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Ghana to operate as an Investment Bank in Ghana, which expanded our presence and strengthened our footprint across West Africa.

2016 | Strengthening the Supply Chain

  • Our Factoring & Supply Chain business emerged, providing the liquidity and working capital that allow emerging enterprises to operate with confidence.

2017 | Purpose Meets Impact

  • PAC Capital was established as our institution’s flagship investment banking entity, reinforcing its position in capital raising, advisory, and financial solutions.
  • PAC Foundation was established, formalizing our commitment to creating sustainable social impact.

2018 | A New Structure for Greater Growth

  • PanAfrican Capital transitioned into a Holding Company, marking a significant milestone in our evolution.
  • PAC Ghana was established and this further deepens our footprint across West Africa.
  • PAC Trustees was launched, which completed the Group’s integrated financial services architecture.

2019 | Diversifying for Impact

  • Amber Hospitality Services (AHS) Limited was formally incorporated.
  • Marketintel & Digital Solutions (MDS) was established as a consolidated technology, communications, media, and entertainment company.
  • We inaugurated our corporate social platform-PAC Forum, which led the conversations on Green Finance & The Environment.

2020 | Powering Through Uncertainty

  • Against the disruption of a global pandemic, Tergo Energy Limited was launched, marking our entry into the renewable energy sector.
  • The SPICE25 overarching 5-Year Strategy Plan was committed to and served as a declaration that our horizon extends well beyond the immediate.

2021 | Advancing Essential Services

  • Afrilife Healthcare Services was established, extending the Group’s footprint into the healthcare sector.
  • We further expanded the Group’s presence in the digital payments market as Ziltch1 Technologies launched Paysharp, and reinforcing our commitment to technology-driven financial solutions.

2022 | Strengthening the Ecosystem

  • Ziltch1 Technologies became the consolidated technology and payment systems company.
  • Kaxal Africa was established as the Agro-Allied and FMCG arm of our Group.
  • The PAC Alumni Network was launched to strengthen connections across the institution’s growing community.

2023 | Advancing Innovation & Impact

  • Sage Diagnostics Centre and Lifeline Pharma were launched, expanding our healthcare offerings and improving access to quality medical services.
  • PAC Securities became an NGX-accredited Derivatives Trading Member, which strengthened our position in Nigeria’s capital market.
  • PAC Registrars was rebranded as PAC Registrars & Investor Services, reflecting our expanded service offering and strategic direction.

2024 | Driving Innovation & Strategic Expansion

  • PAC Research was established, strengthening the Group’s research and advisory capabilities.
  • Afrilife Healthcare launched Viewpoint, its healthcare investment arm, and Synergy, its hospital management arm, which was an expansion of our healthcare ecosystem.
  • Tergo Energy expanded its portfolio with the establishment of Cosol Energy Solutions Limited, Nexus Gas Trading Limited, and MultiGas Systems Limited, reinforcing our presence across the energy value chain.
  • Hawaree was launched as the Group’s e-commerce platform.

2025 | Expanding Reach & Digital Innovation

  • Ziltch1 Technologies launched VeSPA (Zeelink’s Artisan Platform), expanding our digital solutions portfolio.
  • PAC Holdings strengthened its international presence with its incorporation in the United Kingdom.
  • PAYSHARP was licensed as a Super-Agent, enhancing its digital payments capabilities.

2026 | Twenty Years Igniting Africa’s Future

  • PanAfrican Capital Holdings (“PAC Holdings”) celebrates 20 years of unlocking value across Africa. From its beginnings as an aggregation of subsidiaries, PAC Holdings has evolved into a diversified investment group with operations across multiple African markets and strategic partnerships that continue to shape the continent’s future.

What is PAC Holdings celebrating?

PAC Holdings is celebrating 20 years of excellence, innovation, partnerships, and impact across Africa’s economic landscape.

The PAC Holdings 20th Anniversary Gala Night will take place on Thursday, 3 September 2026, at Harbour Point, 4 Wilmot Point Road, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event begins at 5:00 PM.

Attendance is strictly by invitation. Invited guests can confirm their attendance by completing the RSVP form on the website.
